What a gorgeous new cover of Dansk magazine S/S 11' issue. The latest issue features ultra-androgyny. And who comes into mind when you think androgynous? Annie Lennox of course. She was the inspiration for the styling of this issue, and obviously the model is channeling the "Sweet Dreams" star persona wonderfully.

Jonathan Saunders A/W collection at London Fashion Week created a look of modern-colorful-simplicity. What I enjoyed about this collection is the mix of colors for a fall collection. Most designers use dark colors when creating Fall collections, Saunders flipped that and created a collection full of colors and ethnic prints mixed with just a little black, to add that touch of sophistication.

Sally Lapointe is a newer designer but has already released some critical acclaim from fashion vets. She described her show "futuristic and regal." My highlight of the show was of course the final look, the red eyelash gown. Stellar.

London Calling! Skin Tight Leather Trousers, formal-layered pieces, and rottweiler fur prints creates Riccardo Tisci’s “suburban Italian-boy” inspired A/W 11’ collection.

Remember those tack-ally delightful sweaters with the dog faces, Christmas trees, and teddy bears your grandpa used to wear (and probably still wears today?) Well, they are not that tacky anymore. As a matter of fact, they are pretty dope. Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy debut his autumn/winter 2011 collection during Paris Fashion Week, showcasing a variety of sweaters, t-shirts and buttoned-collared shirts covered with angry rottweiler dogs. This trend was evident throughout the show, along with leather baseball bombers, ankle-high leather boots, and slight hints of plaid. The chosen palette was mixed hues of navy blue and dark grey which added a more punk aesthetic to the collection.

Tisci explained the collection’s main inspirations drew from 3 of his childhood obsessions: “the suburban Italian-boy, rottweiler dogs, and actor Jerry Lewis.” Although several elements were blended in this collection, it was not evident that one overshadowed the other. A bit grunge meets grandpa, mixed with several Italian elements. Whether you like the mad dogs or not, Tisci created a stellar show of youthful elegance and eye-catching pieces -- despite his 70 minute show delay.

Choosing between Beach House and Kanye West for top album was difficult. Both albums were well-composed, had great lyrical writing, and stellar production. Being a Baltimore native and long-time fan of Beach House, I must admit "Teen Dream" is their greatest yet. Chris Coady (Blonde Redhead, TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) produced the entire album. You can definitely hear the refined, indie-pop sound. The duo most certainly deserve a Grammy for "Teen Dream." Kanye's album was great as expected, featuring a all-star collection of features and production including RZA and Mike Dean. "MBDTF" features a collection of artists, probably the most ever featured on a Kanye West album. Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Kid Cudi, Swizz Beatz, Rick Ross, Pusha T, RZA, Rihanna, John Legend, Bon Iver, etc..This album is definitely a musically, piscasso-esque work of art, his best work yet. Both albums deserve top honors this year.

Acclaim Magazine held a launch for their latest issue, lucky number 21 at the Mishka store in Brooklyn, NYC. Above is the recap, filmed by Karmaloop TV. This makes me want to visit NYC even more and of course pick up some stuff from the Mishka website.

The latest issue has the theme of friends; partnerships, pets, collaborations etc... The issue features the smoking hot lesbian pornstars Ryan Keely and Justine Joli photographed by Ellen Stagg.
